I am interested in replacing my tivo to avoid the monthly charges. The problem is I want to hook it up to my TV rather than the computer monitor. Movies work fine that way but anytime I am just in windows the resolution looks terrible which I guess is normal for most TV's. Will your software also be hard to read unless it is going directly to a computer monitor rather than a tv. Thanks in advance for any advise.

Any video you record and playback with SageTV will look similar to the movies you are already playing back to your TV. In addition, the buttons, guide, etc of SageTV was designed to be viewed on a TV using a remote control from your couch.

I use SageTV through a GeForce MX-420 video card to a 32" TV and can see everything fine from my couch.
