Hi,

Not sure where the problem lies (could be a Hauppauge thing) but thought I'd ask here. Basically, here's my problem.

9 out of 10 times when Sage tells the IR Blaster to change channels, it works fine. The 10th time, the receiver seems to miss a digit.

My rig:

Athlon 2500+
SageTV 2.2.8
Hauppauge PVR150
Hauppauge UR Blaster (latest drivers) using codeset 88
BEV 3100

To clarify what's happening, if I tell Sage to go to channel 245 every now and then it'll change to "25". Sage of course thinks it's on 245, so I basically have to change to another channel and back again. This is especially problematic with automatic recordings, where 1 time out of 10 it records the wrong show.

Anyone seen this before? I can see the blaster flash 3 digits every time, but the receiver just seems to miss one every now and then. I suspect it's a receiver problem, but can't be sure.

Thanks,
OD

I had same exact problem with the same hardware and tried a bunch of things to no avail...until:

Believe it or not, I fixed it by putting a cd case directly in front of the bell receiver where the ir stuff and the pvr150 blaster is located....that way, the IR blaster signal tends to be amplified/lengthened since it bounces back and forth. But the real reason I think it worked is because the IR signal from your remote is actually interfering with the IR blaster signal....and if you basically block the ir receiver on the bell 3100 from getting signal from anywhere other then the pvr150 ir blaster; problem solved. I still use the same cd, and haven't bothered to use something nicer after a few months ;)
