IR receiver included with PVR250 - can it be used for other remotes?

Rather than go out and spend $35-50 for an IR receiver, I'm wondering if the one included with the PVR250 could be re-used to control Sage and other apps if I dump the stock remote. I'm considering getting an Airboard and/or a Pronto and would like to minimize the number of required IR receivers hanging off the back of my HTPC!

Can I use Girder plus a Pronto to control Sage? Anyone developed a Pronto file?

We've got a fair number of people that use the Pronto with the Hauppauge IR receiver and it works great. I don't have a Pronto, but I'm sure someone else who has one would post the files for the Hauppauge remote.
