sage recorder pause

i would like to pause recording to edit out commercials.
is it possible to do so?
i'm using creative digvcr and am for the most part am satisfied with the results.
also is it possible to capture with vbr setting.

Joe,

You would have to edit out commercials after you've done your complete recording with an MPEG editor. SageRecorder can't pause the TV stream and pick up after commercials.

Info on Customize Recording Quality can be found here (http://www.sage.tv/developers.html), which will tell you how to setup VBR recording settings.

The whole beauty of a pvr system is that you can watch your shows on your schedule, so watching a show while it plays kind of defeats this. Editing later will give you much more accurate results anyway.
