Using SagerRecorder v1.1b4 I get no sound when input is a tuner channel. I get sound using S-video input. It's probably been like this since I installed it but I haven't noticed until now. I'm using the latest Hauppauge beta drivers and I have a PAL PVR-350... :(

This is the same problem the guys writing "WinTVCap" has with PAL users and PAL users with PVR-350's in particular...

WinTV2k gives me sound on tuner channels...

Update:

When I recorded from a tuner channel and had my cable box on (s-video) I got the sound from the s-video input even though I recorded from a tuner channel.

I get exactly the same symptoms when using WinTVCap 2.0.. http://sourceforge.net/projects/wintvcap

Also, check out the WinTVCap 2.0 thread on shspvr.com

I talked to Hauppauge about this and there's apparently something special that needs to be done to make PAL tuner audio work in 3rd party apps. We're still waiting on this information from Hauppauge or anybody else that figures it out. Once we have that information, we'll provide the fix shortly.

Thanks,

Ok, I'll wait and see if Hauppauge replies or anyone solves it. I think we might be nearing a solution in the "WinTVCap 2.0" thread on the SHSPVR forum, thanks to a very talented guy...

UPDATE:

Looks like one of the developers of WinTVCap has found a solution! Several users have reported working tuner sound on PAL 350 systems. Haven't tried it myself yet...

Don't ask me what he did, maybe you guys should PM him on the shspvr.com forum... ;)

I'll definitely be looking into this today, I consider PAL tuner audio support a high priority issue.

Thanks for your help.

If someone were to use WinTVCap2.0 and send me the log file as mentioned in that post.....that'd be very useful. :)

This has been integrated and will be in the next release. I'll keep you posted on when that will be.

That was quick! :)

I will be using both Sagerecorder and WinTVCap in the future and I can manage with only WinTVCap until the next version comes out so no worries...

Thx!
