12. If 'use_errant_dir' is set to false (now it
defaults to it), then instead of moving errant files to that directory, it'll
just add them to the Video Library.

I've not really used the video library much is there something i have to do to activate it.. how do i add other videos to it, do the have to be moved into sage's directories...

Anyways setting this to false it no longer moves the file to the errant folder but i see nothing in the video libary..

It's on my bug list to fix for the next build. Thanks.

no problem... is the video library broken all together.. i never got round to trying it out.. what is the normal process of adding something to the video library!?

I can most assuredly say that the video library works.:) I have over 14 hours of divx/avi in the video library, and the number grows daily. I often edit and then compress(divx) some of my favorite SageTV recorded shows. I then put the finished file in the video library, and delete the original SageTV MPG. Of course I lose the detailed info*, but for the space savings it's great.

As for how to use it just go into Setup>Detailed Setup>General tab and add the desired directory to your "library import directories". It's the exact same process as adding mp3's to the library. There is a setting in the properties file that lets you add/remove valid extensions for SageTV to add to the video library.

Hope that was what you were asking.

*The add episode title feature helps. But I have also taken to using XMLTV(I use the Sage service) to get show data on a daily basis. When I backup a SageTV recording to divx, I extract the correct data from the xml file and save it to a text file of the same name. I'd love for this data to show up as detailed info in the library but I'm sure once I have Sage Studio that won't be a problem.:)
