Last call, can anyone access the decoder properties while playing a sage recording ? I can see the icon but the app wont come up.
I will submit as a bug if noone else has anything to add.

Yes I can access the properties, but I don't watch HDTV...that was your problem, right...with .ts files?

Assuming nVidia is the default decoder on your system, if you choose "Default Video Decoder" in Sage, you will be able to bring up the properties screen. If you specifically choose nVidia, the prop screen won't open. With previous Sage 2.2.8, you did not even get the nVidia tray icon when specifically choosing nVidia. It's been this way for some time and sure Sage is aware of it but assume it to be an nVidia thing rather than Sage.

I explicitly choose the Nvidia decoder in Sage, and I still get the icon in the system tray, and it opens the properties screen when double clicked...

For most people this isn't the case. :P

For some reason when choosing NVidia Decoder the properties dont open up.
When I select Nvidia Post Processor in the setup the decoder properties pop-up.
Give that a try.
Yes, when using nVidia PP, the nVidia applet also opens under that circumstance for me as well.
Also to know about nVidia codecs is the registry entries (video and audio) to get the "detailed" properties as well as the fact that TheaterTek places a registry entry that disables the tray icon altogether once TheaterTek has been opened.

Dumb basic question... how do you set a codec as default so that it can be used if you select default in Sage?

You can use the microsoft program...I forget the name but its something like decoderchecker or something, a search should get you the actual name/link.

Thanks. Spent so long using other apps and their configurations, you forget core items from time to time. Been too long! Damn progress!!! ;)

So does the NVDVD decoder work with 3.0.13 with regular (not HD) tv? I thought it didn't work.
