Okay, got my video to be captured correctly. But when I play the MPG file on another machine, there is no sound. Question: Do you have to have the line in connected if I am using the coax connection? Doesn't the coax feed the card the audio?

You don't need line in if you're using coax. There's probably an issue with the sound configuration on your other PC. Does it play the Windows sounds if you test it in Control Panel?

No, I am able to play other files with sound just fine. Mp3's, other videos I have. Just not ones that are recorded. I am wondering what settings I should be using in the advanced section for audio. Any ideas?

I've tried playing the recorded files on another pc and there is no audio on that one as well.

what should the settings be under the audio tab for audio decoder and renderer?
Thanks

So, I hooked up a pair of headphones directly to the line out on the hauppauge 250 card. I still get no sound. Anyone think this is a hardware problem?

Do you get sound on the machine you capture on?
The PVR250 card does not have a line out jack. It has a line in and and IR in.
Could this be the PAL tuner problem I reported? Sounds like it, I didn't get any sound when recording from the tuner either. You said it's been fixed in the next version....
