View Full Version : High CPU load, corrupt wiz.bin file feared with 1.4.7

I recently upgraded to 1.4.7 after my wiz.bin file got corrupted. Everything was running great for about 2 weeks, but now I'm once again seeing very high CPU load when I try to do most anything and thus fear that my wiz.bin file is once again corrupt. My Wiz.bin file is only about 4.8MB, so I don't understand how it could have gotten corrupted so quickly...? There are several things that are not working as they should in addition to the high CPU load that I've noticed:

1. After starting up SageTV, when I click the LIVE TV button nothing happens exept the button highlights. Everything else works fine, I can watch recorded shows, adjust settings, etc. but just not watch live tv. Then if I wait like 2-3 mintues and try it again it works fine??? I've tested this thouroughly and it happens only immediately after SageTV is restarted.

2. When I delete shows, they sometimes don't get deleted from the video folder. I've already disabled the trash in windows and removed the prompt about emptying the trash bin, but the problem still occurs.

I don't know if the above information is enough to diagnose my sick SageTV but I sure hope you could point me in the right direction. I've the log files from today after going through and deleting a whole bunch of shows that really didn't get deleted until I manually went into the video folder and deleted the mpg files.

FYI - Wiz.bin corruption has never been related to any 100% CPU problems. What you're seeing is the Scheduler getting stuck at 100% CPU.

This problem IS FIXED for 1.4.8. I can assure you of that. Give it a try and you'll be just fine. :)

Cool beans, I'll give that a try tonight.
