Recording Sports with SageTV

A tip for our users as we approach the NCAA tournaments. When recording the games, try "padding" the end of the recording so you don't miss the final minutes if the game goes long or into overtime. You can access this padding by going to "Options" on selected games for recording. From there you can "Modify Stop Time". Use your remote or arrow keys to extend the program end time and hit Enter.

And of course my prediction is that the Fighting Illini will win it all!

Suggested new feature:

SageTV could simply keep recording/appending subsequent material following the scheduled end of a program right up until some barrier threshhold - kind of like you have now for preserving all those programs I channel surf thru. Of course it would have to terminate that extended recording once a subsequent scheduled recording is to start.

Just a thought...
