Is there a way to disable studio or get it to stop popping up every few hours? I use a hauppauge card on a differnt input and for it to work I need for sage to be the top window in windows. When studio pops up it sends sage "to the back" and I have to constantly switch inputs to click on the sage window so its on top again.

Thanks

Sounds like you've got a button mapped to "Customize", I've never seen Studio open on it's own.

Open up your ini file for your Hauppauge remote and see if any buttons are assinged "Ctrl+Shift+F12"

Look in Setup/detailed setup/commands/Link.... and look for Customize. It should have only Ctrl+Shift+F12 if you don't have anything extra linked to it.

Just be careful you don't go linking commands by playing around with your remote. Keyboard is easiest to do this with. Use up/down arrow to get to the "Customize" button and it will show you what's linked to it. Then use the left arrow key to get back out.

under customize it has ctrl+shift+f12, but it also has "d" and "27487834777834" which is odd as I just upgraded to 4.0 and didnt touch anything.
So how do I get rid of the other commands?
Thanks

The long number is an IR code.

Probably a remote code you accidentally mapped. Try this, take the remote you normally use (or perhaps rarely use) and go into "Show SageTV Commands liked to ...." and then go through the buttons on your remote until you find the one that's "Customize", then go to Unlink... and unlink it.

well that would make sense since I control it with a gyration wireless keyboard and mouse, I guess Ill see if getting rid of the "d" was the problem. If not Ill be back.
You guys really know your stuff, thanks for the help!

It's probably not your Gyration because the PC sees that like a normal keyboard mouse. You could try jotting that number down, and searching the properties file for it.
