Shows exist but don't show up in Sage Recordings

Some shows don't show up in the Sage Recordings menu but exist in the \video folder. It seems that only my favorites are showing up in the Sage Recorded context menu now, could this be realted to having turned off the "intelligent recording" option? I'm running beta 1.4.8RC1 by the way.

This is a result of many requests to "Clean" the SageRecordings list of unwanted shows. You can disable this in the properties file by setting:
clean_sage_recordings_list=false

What does SageTV consider as unwanted shows?

These are the partial shows that have been recorded throughout normal TV watching/surfing or the shows that you just completely watched.

Thanks. Don't shows you have watched just get moved to the end of the Sage Recordings list? I'll have to look and see what clean_sage_recordings_list is set to.

I believe it only gets added to the list if you have watched the entire show.

Should this be left disabled, or is this a bug? Curious as I am getting the same type of thing happen. Some of my shows are not showing up in "Sage Recordings" - doesn't seem to be just Favorites or non-Favorites though (I don't THINK anyway).

Not quite sure I understand what the real issue is.

UPDATE:
Looking in my sage log file, I see it at least MENTIONS a couple of the files that it is not listing in "Sage Recordings". For a few of the files I know for sure it is not showing, there are entries in the Sage log file like:

They seem to be perfectly good recordings though. Right size, play fine. Don't know why SageTV doesn't like them... It just recorded them a few hours ago, so it should still have all of the pertinant info on them...

I have at least one instance of this problem. I have Enterprise as a Favourite and there is one Enterprise file on disk which does not show up in the Sage Recordings list. This "missing" file is of a size which indicates that it contains an entire episode of Enterprise. Since it is a Favourite it should definitely be showing up in my Sage Recordings, no?

I don't think 1.3.8 will always show favorites, 1.4 will for sure though.
