I was recording a show last night and when I went to look at the files that were generated, this morning, I noticed that it has been split into two peices. Unfortunately, the split was done in such as way that they could not be effectively rejoined (audio drop-out at the start of the second clip). This is not the first time that I have seen SageTV split a show, but this one was not as bad as the previous time.

The show was a favotires, which I have seen behave differently than a normal Record, and the split was 1:23 into the recording. This may be a cooincidence, but I had extended the start time by two minutes, and I may have started watching the show at that point in time. This is not the first time that I have had the recording split, but I can blame the previous problem on myself.

Attached is the sagetv_0.txt file

p.s., I was using RC2 on XP Home.

The split happened because you selected the show that was on before the favorite during the start padding period for the favorite. Sage was already recording FoolyCooly, start padded by 2 minutes. Then you selected Futurama which had 1 minute left in it and is on before FoolyCooly. Sage got a little confused (because there's an overlap where both shows are airing at the same time) and temporarily switched over to recording Futurama but then switched back to FoolyCooly shortly afterwards once it realized it had stopped recording it. Selecting FoolyCooly would have avoided the problem.

That makes sense because I didn't see that Fooly Cooly was being recorded (it didn't show up next so "SAGE X" like a normally recorded show would). Could the Guide code be modified so that the program shows next to the proper tuner when its extended start time has been hit? I.e., since Fooly Cooly had a two minute start extension, could it show up next to "SAGE X" as soon as it starts recording?

Thanks
