Trying to find out if Sage TV has any support for the included IR blaster that is included with the Creative Digital VCR?

Thanks,

MadMike

SageTV supports the receive function of the IR Blaster that is included with the Creative DVCR, so you can control SageTV with the included remoted. Unfortunately, it doesn't support the transmit function, so it won't be able to change your cable box or DSS if that is what you want it to do. For that you will need either the Actisys IR-200L, or the USB-UIRT. I had asked the same question you asked a while back and it seem that Frey hasn't gotten what it needs from Creative to support the transmit function.

Hope this helps.

Hi all. Sorry if this is posted elsewhere, couldn't find it. I'd like to know how to do this. I can't seem to get Sage to detect the Creative IR receiver. Is it supose to be automatically enabled or is there something else to install?

Cool Program.

It's enabled by default. Go into Detailed Setup->Commands. Then click Link Remote Control Button to SageCommand. Then click a button on the DVCR remote and you'll be good to go. :)

If you don't feel like going through each button and mapping it to Sage, you can follow the instructions posted by Ruel on his web site. Here is the link: http://ruel.net/pc/sagetv-remote-mapped.htm. You can copy and past the commands directly into the Sage.property file.

Good luck,
