License Key

So I purchased the SageTV Media Extender, and they sent me an email with a code that has to be put into SageTV. Unfortunately in the isntructions with that email, it tells me to go to:

Start Menu->Programs->SageTV->Regsiter SageTV Media Extender License

That "Register License" thing does not exist in the SageTV folder on my start menu. Any suggestions?

I have same problem...............had. Just uninstall All sage tv versions and client ver. then: delete Frey and sage tv folder in program files before reinstalling 4.1.4 restart comp............then reinstall 4.1.4. reboot then go to the Start
> Menu->Programs->SageTV->Register SageTV Media Extender License

It worked

Are you using SageTV V4.1.3 or higher and are you looking for that on a SageTV and not a SageTV Client installation? I found it right away on my SageTV server when I installed 4.1.3 a few days ago. There is also an UnRegister SageTV Media Extender License menu item as well.

Least you can get a key, been trying since Tuesday and no response to email or fax :(

I just checked the license registration shortcuts, and this how to make your own shortcut or run from command prompt:

Register command:
"C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\SageTV.exe" DMAREGISTER

Unregister command:
"C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\SageTV.exe" DMAUNREGISTER

To make a shortcut, type in the Target box in the shortcut of SageTV.exe.

I sent in my license conversion email yesterday, and still no email from SageTV, I thought this is a quick process ... oh well...
