My MVP works remarkably well, but I do see some stuttering still when my XP box kicks out any other type of data into the stream.. I was wondering, would it be possible, or is it possible, to add a 'read-ahead' to the MVP? I'm talking about caching just a couple seconds worth of video in a buffer, kind of like the anti-skip that CD players use... This will be particularly useful with wireless clients that are more likely to drop out and/or have connectivity issues. I don't know how much memory is left in those units, but I'm thinking just a couple seconds of buffer would clean up that stream significantly!

Just a thought!

The MVP already buffers data. You could try to verify that the connection is 100mbit.

how do you find out if its 100Mbit or not? my router web settings doesn't say. I guess I can look at the blinking lights on the router itself, but was looking for an alternative method as the router is hidden behind the shelves.

lol, buy a better switch :D

some have idiot lights that may may (or may not) tell you things like speed and duplex

the MVP idiot lights (on NIC PHY) may give a clue as well ;)
