I have this router and I am experiencing the infamous freeze at the "Starting Application" screen. I bunch of other people with this router are also having the same issue. The questions is, is there anyone out there with this router that has it working with the MVP? Just to clarify, the router needs to be working with the built-in MVP software and Sagetv, not the Hauppage or Matt's stuff.

That really depends on what you mean by "MVP." I can get the Hauppauge software to run with the DGL-4300 but not the imbedded SageTV client.

I have attached two files to illustrate what I had to do to get VPN working. You need to know the ports, then it SHOULD work.

VPN? Don't you mean MVP, or does VPN have to be used to get the MVP to work? Also, you are saying that you have made these changes and now your MVP works with the embedded software using the DGL-4300? If so, would it be a good idea to give the server a static IP for creating the virtual server? Many thanks, and if this works, I owe you a cold one!

Again, those are settings that resolved my VPN problem. I don't see why it shouldn't work with the MVP - if you know the ports. I would'nt use a static IP, at least not right away.

So who knows what ports MVP uses?

I'd drop Opus4 a pm.

i'm pretty sure the VPN problem you had was getting through the router for VPN communications ie WAN to LAN or LAN to WAN communications. The Virtual Server and Special Application settings allow WAN communication to pass through to specific LAN addresses. The problem I'm having right now is LAN to LAN.

So who knows what ports MVP uses?

UDP 16868 bootp
UDP 16869 tftp
UDP 16881 Service locator

from my ethernet captures this is what is needed for the loading of the image. Since I'm unsure of what the application port actually is. The hauppauge software uses the following:

TCP 5906 Gui Protocol
TCP 6337 Media Protocol
