View Full Version : MVP Volume on Power Recycle

Everytime I recycle the power on my MVP, it defaults to the volume being at maximum. This can result in a very rude awakening (after hours trying to get stuff done while the kids and wife sleep).
Is this what everybody else experiences? Is anybody aware of any property settings or anything to have it default to no volume instead?

Haven't seen that issue. On a recycle my volume stays set.

Any idea if that is a property setting in the client client file?

Just wanted to add that I was experiencing the same problem in v4.1.4. I don't know if it happens in the new versions since I'm not using them because I have too many problems with them...
I am seeing the same thing with my MVP and 4.1.6. The MVP has full volume whenever it is powered up (green button start/power). I am looking into the poperty files for some possible setting, but I have not found anything yet. I'll report back with what I find.
Has anyone reported this as a possible bug? I don't want to swamp them if it has already been reported.
I didn't find anything in the property files that looked like a volume default for the client(s).
I'll go ahead and send in a bug report just to be certain it is known (or maybe to get the facts on what I am doing wrong).

same problem..
I reported it and got a reply:
This has been added for the next build of SageTV.
I am not certain if they will be using a default starting volume (half) or a saved setting in the properties file (or maybe somthing else). But whatever it is, I am once again impressed with the level of attention they give to the feedback from the users.
