Is anyone using their Harmony remote with a projector?

My projector takes 20 seconds to warm up before getting a picture after power on. During this time it does not take any IR commands to change inputs, etc.

I'm concerned that the Harmony remote will try to power on the PJ, then change the input before the input can be changed. If this happens I'm now out of sync, and the Harmony is basically useless to me.

Has anyone seen this issue with their projectors? Is it possible to have the Harmony do a power on, for all equipment, then allow me to hit "watchDVD" to set everything else up? This would give me a two step process, but I can easily explain to users that you hit the power button, then when the projector is ready, hit the "activity" key. From what I've read I don't see how this can be done.

I'll be getting my 880 end of this week, I hope I can get it to work.

thanks,

Got my remote yesterday.

I have it working for everything but SageTV. I'm seeing wierd results. When I go to show linked command (something like that) and hit the pause button, it will show pause, if I hit pause again it show a different unlinked command. This happens for most of the keys. It is as if there are two commands linked to each key, that toggle. It does not seem correct.

What happens in Sage is that when I hit the up butten it does not do anything, then when I hit it again, it moves twice. Really wierd. I'm mostly using the database values. Did you just relearn your own?

It is as if there are two commands linked to each key, that toggle. It does not seem correct.Actually, that is correct. Your remote setup is using an IR protocol that uses a toggle code -- repeated presses of the same button toggle between 2 different IR codes. Example: the Hauppauge remote does this & Hauppauge's software is intended to use the toggle. If the same remote is used withthe USB-UIRT, you'll see 2 differnt codes like you describe.

All you have to do is teach the same button twice, making sure not to press any other remote button in between. (i.e.: use the keyboard to control SageTV while doing this so the remote is only used for the learning process)

I thought that might be the case.

I just reprogrammed it to the remote I was using before. My first attempt was to use it as the factory default and I did not like it.

Everything works great now. I love this remote!
