No video!

I have SageTV / Placeshifter and the Media extender.
I have already resistered both in the server, but I am having issues with Video playback.
It does not matter if I am playing back recorded video or live TV.

I can hear the sound in stereo, however I do not get ANY video playback no matter what I do.

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the Placeshifter client, but I ahve had not luck.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Placeshifter plays videos using Overlay -- is anything else currently running on the system & using the overlay? If so, only one app can use it at a time.

Also, you might want to try updating the video card driver or check its settings to see if any settings exist for the driver that prevents overlay from working.

I am trying to use placeshifter on my DELL XPSm1710 running beta Nvidia drivers from laptopvideo2go.com

I am running the 91.31 drivers.
They work great for everything else, but maybe they are messing up the playback.

I will have to try placeshifter on another PC.

I have tested Placeshifter on another PC with a Nvidia 6800 ultrago board in it and it works.

I am trying to figgure out what I need to do with the overly settings to make it work on my laptop that has a 7900 GTX GO GPU in it.

I have compared the drivers and have set the settings identical.

I simply cannot get the video to come through on the newer laptop.
SIGH : :confused:

Any insights?
