As of today I'm getting this:

"...zap2it gave us a page with no service provider options..."

This is for the North America grabber, XMLTV version 0.5.15., and a Canadian postal code that works fine on Zap2it's web site.

It's been working so long now that I almost forgot my fear it could all disappear one day.

Here's hoping it's a tempory glitch and/or the xmltv developer can fix it.

Same for XMLTV v. 0.5.22.

It's definitely a grabber problem: the --debug option shows that Zap2it indeed returns provider information.

Looks like the XMLTV developers already have a fix. There's an alpha version of the code posted that purportedly fixes the problem.

I really do hope that Sage finds a way to provide Canadian listings soon. I definitely do not mind paying for this service if that's the way that makes it financially feasible.

I notice that Snapstream is due to provide Canadian listings so they've obviously (hopefully) worked out a financially feasiblle solution.

Well, if XMLTV ever goes away for good (hopefuly unlikely) then at least it's possible to migrate to Snapstream and keep the same hardware. So all will not be lost.

Cheers

Lester:

Where did you find the alpha info? Is it useable, even if I have to use perl?

Thanks.

Thanks L, it looks like it works OK.

Again though, where did you find that?

Thanks again.

I subscribe to all the XMLTV mailing lists found here (http://sourceforge.net/mail/?group_id=39046)

This keeps me up to date on what's going on.
