Forgive me for not knowing enough German.
When I attempt to configure a Pinnacle Systems PCTV Dual DVB-T Pro PCI (2000i) card as a tuner source in SageTV version 6.1.9.146 (Java 1.4.2_13), I don't get any video. I am in NRW (Luenen) and believe that DVB-T is active in the area from what I've read. When I only get Thuringia-Erfurt/Weimar and no other options like Nordrhein-Westfalen-Dortmund.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
M

As an addendum, the Pinnacle Systems software did correctly find 29 channels, but SageTV still only lists the single DVB-T region which isn't mine (NRW).
Thanks in advance for all replies and suggestions!

Hi,
was planning add a a DVB-T tuner to my setup, too and I think this is how it SHOULD work. Didn't have the time to try it myself, yet.
You need to set the frequencies for your area in the file PredefinedDVBT.frq which you can find in the SageTV install directory. After installation only Germany-Thuringia-Erfurt/Weimar is defined.
Stop SageTV and the Service, add the following lines to the file, start Sage again. Run the wizard.
"Germany-Duesseldorf/Ruhrgebiet"
frq:506000000;band:8;
frq:538000000;band:8;
frq:586000000;band:8;
frq:690000000;band:8;
frq:722000000;band:8;
frq:746000000;band:8;
{tune:1;pat:6;sdt:16;}
PS: You can find frequency tables on http://www.ueberallfernsehen.de/. The tables are usually in the download section.

"Germany-Rhein-Main-Gebiet"
frq:198,50000;band:8;
frq:482000000;band:8;
frq:578000000;band:8;
frq:738000000;band:8;
frq:762000000;band:8;
frq:818000000;band:8;
{tune:1;pat:6;sdt:16;}
Best regards
Have fun

Thank you both so much! Unfortunately I did travel to the US on August 11th, so I no longer have access to the system directly. I might try and talk my father-in-law through it though! Thanks again!

Maybe we should forward this to SageTV support so that they could add these tables in the next release...

Lieber Waltraud,
Thank you for your reply! I'm just getting to this 16-months later (first trip back to Germany where the setup is located). Your suggestion helped as ithe PredefinedDVBT.frq file was missing a " in the Germany-Dusseldorf/Ruhrgebeit entry. Changing this and restarting SageTV helped in the configuration wizard. Thanks! (Note to Sage employees, you might want to submit this for a fix in the next release.)
Now on to figuring out all the channels and if there are differences between the same NDR in Essen and Dusseldorf.
Thanks again! Mit viele Gruesse!
