Increase in corrupt SD recordings?

I run a setup with 3 Hauppauge PVR-150's. I don't record a whole lot, mostly standard channels during prime time so I figure I get maybe 10 recordings a week. I have noticed lately that at least 1 if not more of those recordings will have corrupt timelines that skip 2 seconds for every 1 second and will jump aorund the eposide.

The only way to fix the recording is to compress the recording and then watch it after.


Any idea what causes this or how I might be able to fix it?

Ah ha! I'll definitely give that a shot, thank you opus!. I kept searching for "corrupt recordings" and the such and never thought to look up by timeline skip.
