Libary listing viewing videos in 1.2.7

Hi i have been trying this great program for a couple days now and i have found a problem that crops up on my system.

When i goto the libary and choose to watch a video in my libary folder (any video) after watching i am unable to go back to live tv without first going to the guide and selecting a channel that way or putting sagetv to sleep and waking it back up. I have tried entering a channel to change from the video to TV also have tried selecting live tv and it still brings me back to the video. Also once i am able to get back to live tv channels i find im unable to change the channel even if i cancel the channel selection i choose in the guide switching from the video to tv it wont let me change channels. I have found the only way to get it to work is to reboot the pc after that it works fine till i view a video again.

I looked through the threads and found no other references to this problem so i thought i should post one myself. Sorry if this is already a known issue.

When video is played from the library, you are no longer in Live TV mode so when you are done watching that show you can't change the channel because you are not currently watching a channel. So to return to Live TV you must go back through the Guide and select something to view.

If you select TV from the main menu after watching something from the Library, it will try to send you back to the program you were viewing from the Library. The TV command actually sends you to whatever you are currently watching, not necessarily Live TV.

For you channel changing issue, are you saying that if you select a Live program from the guide to watch and then try to change the channel, it won't accept your command? Are you trying to change channels with channel up/down or by entering the number?

Ok that explains a few things but i had thought it would be an easier thing to get back to live tv than having to goto the guide. And shouldn't the livetv button actually bring you to livetv instead? Just kindof a thought.


Actually the channel changing issue i spoke of was after i had used the guide to get back to livetv viewing. No matter what channel i typed in useing the keypad or tried to switch to in this case from channel 31 it wouldn't change to. I tried up channel to 32 wouldn't do it. I tried keypad to 39,68,73 all no go it wouldn't change from channel 31 no matter what i typed in it was locked to 31. I tried shutting down sagetv and restarting wouldn't fix it i ended up having to reboot the computer to get it to finnally start changing channels again.

I had done some more playing around with this after i had posted that last night and found that the above only happened after i had been watching a movie that was 2 hours long. But when i had gone back in and tried other videos that were smaller i was able to get back to livetv and have the channels work fine for changing. Don't ask me why it happened with the 2 hour movie but it did. Anyway it's working now and i am able to get back to tv viewing but i thought that i should meniton this issue.
