I have SageTV set up on a Windows Vista Ultimate machine with two FloppyDTV DVB-S tuners receiving UK satellite TV. It works great playing BBC HD (DVB-S MPEG4 H.264) & all the standard definition channels on the Windows machine & on Windows systems running SageTV client. However on a MacBook (MAC OS X 10.5.4) there is a problem with viewing BBC HD in that it plays OK but only a quarter of the transmitted picture (top left hand corner) is visible in either a window or full screen. Instead of being widescreen it is also squished up horizontally so people look tall & thin. A recording of BBC HD has the same problem although that same recording plays back correctly on a Windows machine.
I am a newcomer to Macs & if it were a Windows machine I would be looking at a problem with the graphics driver or MPEG4 CODEC but I don't know where to start here. Is this something I can fix or is it a bug that Sage need to fix?
