Do I need to start SageTV each boot? [Archive]

I currently have the SageTV service set to start Automatically in my SageTV Preferences on my iMac.

Is this sufficient to have my favorites still record even after my iMac is rebooted? Or do I have to make sure the SageTV application is running or in Standby mode?

Don't know about Mac? But in Windows, running the SageTV service is all you need.

You do not need the application running, the service takes care of the recordings.
