Congrats on the release. This really looks like the Tivo-killer. :)
How fast do you guys expect coverage to expand? In particular, what about the Richmond/Newport News area of Virginia? Am I looking at days, weeks, months, or years?

That will depend on how the next couple of months go, but we will definitely support the entire nation before the end of 2003.
First of all, what service do you have for your area?
Just because you are outside the listed markets that we support for SageTV service, doesn't mean you can't use SageTV. Sometimes by only supporting the markets listed on our website, these markets will overlap with neighboring markets. Your example would be that the edge of the D.C. market (I think that's the closest) actually gets Richmond-Petersburg, VA television stations. So if you were to pick that area, you would pretty much have your entire lineup. You would then have to re-map any channel numbers that didn't correlate with your service.
Here's what we have for Richmond-Petersburg, VA local broadcast:
6-WTVR
8-WRIC
12-WWBT
23-WCVE
35-WRLH
65-WUPV
Let me know if you have any questions as this may be confusing.

Just to add to what Dan said, if you use Dish Network or Directv as your televivsion source, everyone in the country right now can use it. I'm jot absolutely sure about local stations showing up in the guide from your particular region (maybe Jeff or Dan will jump in with this info), but all of the other "national" stations would definitely show up for your particular programming package.

Mark's right about that. For example, if you enter a Las Vegas zip code into SageTV you'll get choices for DirecTV - Las Vegas and Dish - Las Vegas.
It contains all of the program guide data EXCEPT for some of the local broadcast channels in the lineup (you'll usually have at least nbc, abc, cbs & fox). As Mark said; all of the data for the national lineup is present.
The best way to find out it so download the free trial of SageTV and see what it gives you. (yes, we have a free trial now)
