Any difference in cards 250/350/provideo or digital vcr? I am looking to get another one for my system and was wondering which one worked the best or just get the cheapest one I can get my hands on. Comp USA is running a sale on the 250 for $99 this week and I think the Digital VCR is going for $99. Any opinions or help? I think if I remember correctly is that the 250/350 can record with variable rate which the Provideo card couldn't. Digital VCR Quality??

There's lots of posts on the forum with information about the different cards....do some looking around and you'll find some. Thanks for your interest.

I am going to get a 250 but can you tell me the difference between the 250 and 350? And is it worth the upgrade? Maybe better to get two 250's?

The big difference is that the PVR-350 adds a hardware decoder w/TV out and a FM tuner. We currently don't support the TV out function of the card but are working on it. The other problem is that we won't have the OSD coming through that TV-out so you'll need to use a monitor to see the application.

TV out of audio/video only for the PVR 350 will be in the next release. (no UI on the 350's TV out yet)
