It seems to me that in the Servers section of the main screen in Stand-alone mode, I should be adding my Sage server details. When I do this it all works great - except that it also goes out and searches my home network and sees the server on it's own. So I end up with two "HTPC" servers listed. Which seems ridiculous. What is the correct approach here?

Also, when I set it to Automatically Connect to the server, is there a way to shorten the time it gives me to "auto-connect or cancel"?

Sorry for the volley of questions in the last few minutes, but I have somewhat limited Internet access so I had a bunch of burning issues I want to get a handle on. I did extensive forum searching, but to no avail.

You only need to add a server if you want to use the HD200 over the WAN, as a placeshifter.

Ah... yes, that makes perfect sense, Stranger. I'll delete my server setting and let it find the server on it's own.

Thanks,

I had to manually add my server, because the auto-connect will not wake my server like the HD100s do. If my server is currently sleeping, then I can choose it in the list and it will then wake it up and connect to it.

Are you saying that you have your HD200 "reliably" WAKING UP your server... I have tried for MANY hours to accomplish this... Following your instructions using the list and even a static IP does not work for me... As a note my server has no problems waking up via a PC coming onto the network... and information I received from Sage Support indicates that the HD200 will NOT wake up a server and they do not support that function... I am wondering if you are having continuing success... I could really use that feature...

It works for me using the manually entered sage server, but it won't wake the server when initially turning on the HD200, because it doesn't find any servers. So I have to scroll through the stand-alone menu to my server list and when I select the manual one, it will wake my server. Sometimes I have to do it twice, because it times out before the server is fully awake.
