I am new to Sage. I have the HD Theater and I am using it as a standalone, although I purchased a package with software and I will later install it on a computer. However, my primary use is to use the HD Theater to run media from a Lacie NAS because I don't always want to turn on a computer.

I want to view my pictures as slideshows by folder. (May 2003 trip to Yosemite, etc) Using the Sage I can navigate to the folders and access the pictures 1 at a time, but not play a slideshow. I can add the folders so that they available in the "photos" icon in the main menu, but that seems to add them to 1 big folder where they are no longer separated by the folder structure that I like on my NAS.

Am I overlooking something here?

Again, I want to view individual folders as slideshows. Thanks for any help.

Make sure you set the folders high enough so that the root (let's say Photos) is the folder you set as the import directory and the rest of your photo folders are under it. In standalone mode you will see pictures as folders but look closely at the captions It shoudl say folder and say how many photos are contained. After a few seconds the photos should start it's own little slideshow on the highlighted folder.

Thanks for the help. What I had failed to realize is that the folders had to be placed into the photo app (it doesn't work to just navigate to the network storage and play the slideshow). Also, it takes forever for the HD Media player to sort through the folders so you can play them. But it's working now.
