What hardware is in the HD200?

Can anyone give me the hardware specs (subject to change without notice, blah, blah, blah)?

Can the proc or RAM be upgraded? Can a hard drive be added internally (sata or pata)? Can it run Sagetv SERVER?

I'm confused by the package that the store sells with the HD200 and Sagetv (server). If it can run as a server, can it handle the hdhomerun tuner (or any local USB tuner)?

I'm sure these sound like stupid questions, but I couldn't find this information.

There are other topics somewhere talking about the hardware in the HD200, but no, the memory & so on is not user-upgradable. You can add external USB2 storage devices, but there is no internal connection (the downloadable manual in the extender FAQ topic mentions connecting external USB2 storage). I've taken mine with me while visiting family & watched our recordings from an external drive.

The HD200 does not act as a SageTV server. The server software is run on a PC & the tuners connect to a PC. The HD200 can be used connected to the SageTV server or on its own w/o a server. Of course, on its own it can only play your existing content; it can't be used to record TV.

Do I not automatically need a media extender license as well?

That link isn't loading for me at the moment, so can't see exactly what it says on that page. But, as this FAQ points out, you don't need an extender license for the HD200 when used with SageTV v6.5 and later:

Do I need to buy a license to use with a Media Extender?

(And, if one were needed, it would have come with it, like the HD100 did.)

And, just to be clear: SageTV needs a license when installed on a PC, but the software license is what you would be buying through the store if that link is for the extender + software bundle. An extender license is different & that is the one you do not need with the HD200.
