HD200 IR sensor

Hi all,

I plan to place HD200 behind my wall mounted plasma. Due to small size it fits well but the only problem that I may have is control of the unit.

I'm thinking about opening the box and doing some soldering.
Does anyone know that sensor is used there?

Also may be it would be a nice idea for SageTV to add an ability to connect external sensor thru back panel in future?

I wouldn't want to touch the inside... just buy one of these (http://www.amazon.com/Remote-Control-Booster-System-8225P/dp/B00023JJV6/ref=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1239039855&sr=8-1). I'm using one and it works great.. the "eye" is so big I can point my remote anywhere in the room and it sees it.
