Aspect Ratio Confusion...

My HD content(recorded from a HDPVR) is getting cropped on the HD200. The same content has no issues when played back via a pc client and setting to the source aspect ratio. The aspect is right, nothings stretched or squished. It's just cutting off the left and right side...and to a lesser extent the top and bottom. I've tried adding new ratios and playing with all the options available but all that seems to allow me to do is make the content zoom in, while I need to zoom out. If I drop the vertical/horizontal to a low enough value it starts to show black on the left/right of the screen but it's not scaling the picture, just cutting off the display area. If I use the X position/Y position to move the picture left and right I can see there is more of the picture that's getting cut off. Anyone else seeing this? I've tried both the standard and the beta firmware and see the issue on both.

It sounds like you are using the aspect ratio of Zoom A or Zoom B. You want it to be on Source or Fill. Hit the Aspect button to fix.

I wish it were that easy. I've tried all aspect ratios including source which is the default I leave it on. None of them fit. The zooms are way off, source is better but I'm still missing info on the sides. I've also tried adding new ratios and playing around with the settings provided to no avail. It's worse on some shows then others. Any podcasts from Revision3 for example(h264 versions) are awful. The Revision3 logo at the top right is cut in half vertically and the 3 is completely off the screen. TBSHD is also bad, the logo on the bottom right is always cut in half. On other shows I don't notice it as much...but that may just be because they don't have logos in the areas being cropped by my tv. I see this on both my tvs with the hd200. I'm surprised I'm the only one with this issue...I must be doing something wrong.
