updating media import directories

I have a small video collection and a very large music collection. when i update the import directores, it takes the HD200 several minutes to scan through all of the music. is there anyway to just update the video directory?

Not sure if you can only update the video folders but you can set it to update automatically. Mine is set to update once every hour, the only downside to this is if you wanted to watch something as soon as you've copied it over as you may have to wait a maximum of one hour for it to refresh.

i may end up doing that. can you continue to use the unit while it is doing an auto update?

Yeah, you'd never know it was doing it.....well I never notice anyway, except for when I see the little icon to indicate that its doing a scan.
