Tiny cosmetic issue here.

If I go to set a parental control password, the * characters are half in and half out of the "entry box" (I can send a screenshot if necessary)

More minor things

It would be nice if there was a 'back' button (actually meaning 'up the navigation tree'). Eg, if I'm on the setup screen, I can get back to the main menu by pressing Home, but it would be nice (IMHO) if I could press 'Back' as well.

Sometimes you use Left as Back, but not other times (eg if I go to Setup -> Channel Setup, I can use Left to get back to Setup, but I can't then use Left again to get back to Home - it just seems like it could be more consistent.

I really don't like the way that Detailed Setup takes you to a Windows-ish style (probably Java) property page. This would be hard to navigate using a remote control.

On Channel Setup (and some other places), is there a key press which will act as the right mouse button - to remap a channel I have to right-click, but this could be hard with a remote control.

I'd like to put a vote in for 'presets' - as I mentioned by email, in the UK, BBC1 is always referred to as channel 1, even though it might be on the tuner channel 41 in one place, or channel 53 somewhere else. I can make it work by mapping BBC1 to channel 41, but this is very unintuitive for people in the UK (or elsewhere in Europe). If I press Channel-Up, I'd expect to see BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, CH4, five - in fact I see five, BBC1, CH4, ITV, BBC2. If I had presets I could assign presets 1-5 to the channels, and set the tuner channel elsewhere.

Another one (sorry - I'm not been critical, this program is great, I just want it to get better:) )

In Full Screen mode

If I go to Setup -> Detailed Setup, I get the popup window (not nice, but workable, as long as I map a key on my remote to TAB - I can't just use left/right/up/down/enter), but then if I go to Multimedia, and then Video Capture Settings (advanced), another window pops up (from Hauppauge's drivers?) and promptly goes to the background.....

I can't get at it!

The only way out of this is to map a remote key to Alt-Tab (which is technically tricky, and not nice because then you could do all sorts of nasty things) or to get out of full screen mode and use a mouse...

Could you perhaps check for a new window opening after pressing the Video Capture Settings button and bring it back to the front... (or even disable that button in full screen mode)

I know about the * in the passwords, it's on the list. :)

I agree with you about the Back button & Detailed Setup. It's something that'll be easily resolved when skinning is introduced with a UI redesign later.

Options command (o keystroke) in SageTV is the same as right-click

For presets, would having the ability to sort the channel order solve the problem? I guess they could more or less be the same thing. In addition to remapping, you could assign a preset number. The guide is then sorted on the preset numbers, and all non-preset channels are shown afterwards in their natural order. Would that do it?

Video Capture Settings (Advanced) is going to get removed with the addition of skins and a UI rework. So that'll go away then. :)

Yes, that sounds just right (it'd be nice if the preset number was shown in the OSD as well ;) )

Okey Dokey

(Sorry if I've said a lot that's already been said, but at least it confirms that they're wanted ;)
