I'd like to see an option to 'ALWAYS Record'.. record new, old, watched, unwatched.. no matter what.. then when I reach the max recordings for it to automatically remove the oldest recording, or perhaps the oldest watched (an option?? Auto-Remove (Oldest, Oldest-Watched)...
Is this currently possible, or perhaps something that could be included in a customization??
Thanks!

This has been requested before (insert link to earlier thread here), but is not currently available.
I think it should be possible with a plug-in. It would need code very similar to that used in the Favorite Excluder (http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48899) aka Anti-Favorites (http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19053) plug-in.
Said plug-in periodically looks ahead and marks specified upcoming shows as Watched or Don't Like. Someone who knows what he's doing (which rules me out) could easily alter it clear any Watched or Don't Like flags from upcoming shows. This would allow previously viewed episodes to be recorded regardless of Watched status, but would not re-record any episodes currently on disk. I figure combine that with AutoDelete:Yes and KeepAtMost:10 and you'll always have the last 10 unique episodes aired. That's good enough for me.
Another way would be for the plug-in to simply flag every upcoming show as a Manual Record, but that would play havoc with your Favorites priorities.
Not sure how "automatically remove the oldest recording, or perhaps the oldest watched" could be implemented. I think Sage's current behavior is to delete the oldest recording.
