Does V7 use the decorders selected no matter what?

Back when I first installed V6 when it was new I seem to remember there being issues with Sage not "really" using the codec/decoder (not sure proper terminology here. LOL) selected in the setup.

I'm pretty sure this has all been ironed out and is no longer an issue as I haven't heard it talked about lately but just want to make sure! :)

Just wondering because I'm having some troubles getting my HD PVR to play back live TV and have been trying some different codecs/decoders and just want to make sure there are no issues if I install several of them and keep switching back and forth? It seemed like a couple years ago or so you had to go through some gyrations with the filter manager or something to make sure things worked correctly.

If you install FFDshow and select it as your audio decoder. It will place an icon in the system tray, which will show all the decoders in use in the current playback graph. This will allow you to verify that your selected decoder is actually the one being used.
