I've posted previously on this as well as searched and I see a couple of threads where this was brought up previously with no apparent solution to the problem I'm seeing. As I see the release candidate is out, I"m getting a bit concerned this hasn't been resolved yet.

Please note the attachment. Text in the main menu on my hd200 extender appears all scrunched.

I've attempted the 2382 beta update twice and it appears to sort of brick my hd200. After rebooting after the update, it just goes to a blank screen... I had to go through the hard reset while holding the back button (or whatever it is, it's been a few weeks now since I messed with it).. that brings me back to the current state, which of course is at least workable (i.e., it's just the menus that are hosed, I can watch TV). As I mentioned, I've done this twice and had to go through the hard reset / restore twice.

So, I'm not seeing a solution here. Anybody have any ideas? Should I submit a support ticket?

Thanks

Just do a regular firmware update on your HD200. This is 100% due to using an older firmware on your HD200. If you have problems updating your firmware still, then go ahead and submit a support request.

... and it appears to have bricked the hd200... to clarify, at startup, I get the sagetv splash screen, but before I get the searching for servers dialog, the screen goes blank and the unit does not respond to the remote control. Only option is to unplug, and plug and repeat the same steps... and of course, go through the whole reset / restore process...

Submitting a support ticket per suggestion above...

Did you try hitting the "video out" button?

the one on the hdx00 remote... bottom row... maybe the hd200 is switching to a resolution your tv does not support... cycling through the different resolutions (with the video out button) should get to a resolution that your tv supports....
