View Full Version : Replaced a movie file, throwing SageID not found error

I replaced a DVD rip with a Blue Ray rip. All I did was rip it, delete the movie.avi, and moved my movie.mkv file in it's place, and then renamed my .properties file to movie.mkv.properties. I did a reimport in CM, and then changed the source from DVD to Blue Ray to have the new information, and cover art downloaded. Next, I went into SMM, did a library rescan, but the cover art is still displaying the old DVD cover, and when I try to play the movie, it throws an error saying SageID not found, and that my paths are incorrect. If I load SMM on my server, the new, correct cover art is shown, and the movie plays fine. I've tried regenerating, and rescaling the images, but neither worked. I also did a database rebuild, but that didn't work either. Only on my Extender is it not working. Any idea?

Thanks,

Tony

Wow working on the server but not the extender...to be honest I have no good answer there as the extender and server pull from the exact same cache of objects(movies)...

You could send me a log of trace when rebuilding the datafile and I can look through it. Did you try reseting the extender btw?

You probably should have gone into CC and deleted the original DVD entry also. Then give it time to sync and refresh. Remember it's a database and best practice isn't really to go out and modify the actual files. Delete in the CC (database) delete the file and .properties and then create the new entity. (Rip, import or allow file monitoring to find it) This should ensure a clean removal of the bits and pieces and a clean recognition of all the new ones.
