DVCR Sound Sync update?

Jeff,

Any update on the DVCR sound sync issue in 1.3.3? I start loosing sync in as little as a hour so long term use of SageTV is out of the question with the current version.

My sound goes out of sync immediately using DVCR as 2nd tuner with v1.3.3.

My 1st tuner is PVR-250 and has no issues whatsoever.

I do have a newer version you can try that should resolve this. I'm awaiting reports of other's success with it. Email support@freytechnologies.com if you'd like to try it.

Got the update. Installed. Definate improvement. Channel changing seems cleaner. After 2 hrs of recording, no sync issues. As I said, I'll leave it on tommarow and we will see what 18 hrs does to it. I should have quite a library to watch :-).

Additionally, I just tried 802.11g. It seems to work great. I can do full screen on my laptop [1024x768] with no stuttering. I'm excited!

Now if we only had a web server based guide so we could direct recording from the office or vacation.... [feature request]

Well I have good news and bad.

Its a great deal better than it was in 1.3.3.

SageTV recorded all day, with things I specified and things I did not. After 18-20 hrs, it looks like its about 1/4 to 1/2 second off. Noticeable but almost wachable. I changed channels, tried to make it better / worse with no change. I closed and reopened the app and were back in sync again. I will re-run the test tommarow and post a compairison.

Anybody else report similar results? Any other idea's?

Yeah i got similar results from the update mux file.

Almost in sync but not quite though i have found i don't have to restart for some reason for it to be in sync on other recordings.

I can only guess that it is due to useing different Record quality settings on my shows, But thats just a guess.

For my setup i use default record setting as fair 1 gig per hour, Good 1.5 gig per hour on some fav's and DVD exstended long play 1.8 for others with a couple exceptions for thoughs that i want to look a bit better i use DVD long play 2.5 gig for. I do this because i only have 35 gig of space left on my 100 gig drive to use for recordings at this time so i use the lowest setting for it to record shows it thinks i like or may like so i can fit in more shows on the drive.

I find it switching recording quality several times a day so this could possibly be why.
