I've just updated the file that describes what can be changed in the Sage.properties file for V2. Here's the link:

Ok, I guess I was the only one that did not know that we can now launch mame from sage?

Ditto thanks! I've been trying to figure out how to set PVR priorities, primarily so the networked encoder will be used last of 5, and encoder_merit numbers should do it. Won't know for about an hour when I can restart SageTV if I got the order correct or backwards. (double recording at the moment):)

higher merit number = higher priority, from past postings on the subject, I believe.

Tested and works like a charm! Now I don't have to worry about a recording taking place on the networked HPTC encoder if I don't want it to, which is most of the time so it can be shut down for the night, just have it available for overflow having recording or timeshifting if 4 already recording. Tested having 5 concurrent recording on the Server including the Client's PVR and then simultaneously watching a previously recorded smooth as silk plus tested 4 recording and live timeshifting flawlessly. Way cool!

Too bad that type of thing wasn't made simplier as a feature in config' for those not sure enough to edit the properties file.

Interesting "quirk" when manually firing off the recordings though, always tried highest PVR first and if in use gave a recording conflict error, hit ignore and on to the next priority tuner, if it's also already in use conflict error again etc. until down stepping to unused lower merit PVR. Doesn't seem to affect Favorites scheduling though, just immediate records. No biggy, just a quirk I'll seldom see anyway since it'll be seldom indeed manually starting a bunch of concurrent recordings.

I'll say I'm totally pleased with SageTV living up to my expectations. Way way glad I didn't bother with TIVO or ReplayTV lightweights!
