View Full Version : Can I adjust video color settings on playback?

The programs that I record with Sage look washed out when I play them back through the application. I vaguely recall that I can change the color settings used for recording by using the WinTV 2000 advanced recording options, but I'm looking for an easier solution. Currently, I'm playing back my Sage recordings through Power DVD, because it has a relatively easy way of adjusting colors, saturation, contrast and brightness while you're viewing the video. I haven't been able to find any such options in Sage. Have I been missing something? This seems too basic a feature to omit.

It's in Detailed Setup, under the Multimedia tab. One of the buttons on that page opens another window that has the color controls. At least it does on mine, using the Hauppauge PVR-350 card.

Right. So all I have to do to adjust the color is to switch from the TV screen to the Main menu screen, select the Settings menu, select the Detailed Settings menu, select the Multimedia tab, hit the Advanced button, and then pick the tab that has the color settings. Then, I can guess at the new settings, switch back to the TV screen to see how those settings look, and then when they don't look quite right, repeat the whole process ad infinitum.
That's why I was asking, is there an easier way to adjust these settings, preferably while actually watching the video?;)
