I did fix all the Precip lines not showing fully with a non ideal way. I changed the Minimum Shrunk Font Size option ,in Sagetv, to 8. I think the real issue is the vertical space that's wasted in the widget bar. If you halved that space on top and bottom and then gave it to the weather widget I could use a higher and more readable font without any cutoff. (I do use all the widgets. The weather one is only issue)

Thanks!

In the Forecast screen, info is displayed but the Precip lines only show the top half of the line. Not a big deal but thought I'd mention it!

I also notice I get this side bar: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7826058/Diamond/DiamondMainMenu1.jpg

This side bar looks better though and uses the full vertical space(how do I get this? :D ): http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7826058/Diamond/MainMenuWidgets.jpg

Back to the weather widget, Basic and extended don't show anything except titles. That may be do to the weather info I do get and not a Diamond bug. I'd probably only use the Forecast one anyway.

Thanks for Diamond! :)

Did you grab that second screenshot from geektonic as I was expecting my widgets to look like that as well and had the same problem you did with the widgets :)

I hope you get a reply from someone other then me as I like the second screenshot of widgets as well :)

I actually got it from their own wiki ;)

http://code.google.com/p/sagediamond/wiki/DiamondInformation

It's under Main Menu Mods

It's not an issue as you titled the thread. Turn on the Recent Recordings widget and set the weather widget to Extended (or Advanced for another view). The more or less widgets you turn on will affect the space used.

Having the widget panels look as they do in the pre-release screen shots, *would* fix another problem though. I just submitted it on Google Code...In any Tab View, the tabs are transparent, not opaque like the bars in other views. Being transparent, you see the widget panel extend up and behind the tab. If you add any plugins that extend that tab to the left, or when Sage does it with the Rec or Scanning icons...it looks even worse. I haven't tried all the themes, but in Diamond Tabs or Diamond Simplified Tabs...it looks "off". The pre-release screen shots of the widgets, look the best, to me.

With all the widgets enabled and weather set to Extended mine looks exactly like the pre-release screenshot. If you scroll further down the wiki to Main Menu Mods you will see exactly the same widget screenshot.

I get this in Diamond Simplified Tabs:

As opposed to this (separate panels with a little bit of the background between):

It might have been a last minute design change I know on my PC client it's one solid panel. I get thin lines separating them. (Not so it looks like separate panels.). On the HD300 it looks like one solid panel with thin lines be used to separate the widgets. They may need to update the screenshot if it is causing confusion. Which is probably a low priority right now.

The Individual "widget" look was in the early screen shots and was changed to the larger panel look to match up with the main menu in a later revision.

I am looking at making this a "themeable" option for users that want them to be separate, no promises.

I do agree that the individual widget look works better with the "tab" themes so I'll try. I didn't realize that many were using the tab themes ;)

I love the tabs! Thanks for looking into it...and understanding the issue...I confuse myself sometimes :D

I prefer the tab theme but thought I was in the minority because, previously, there was only one theme that had tabs. Maybe more people like the tabbed approach than you think! :D
