Great to see the beta open up and great work thus far! The fonts especially and UI are just beautiful. I've played around with 308 and here are my observations thus far.

In general, do you recommend we post bugs/feature requests here or on your google code site? I'll stick with here for now but happy to post things on the google code site if that's easier for you.
During the install process, you mention that you should probably restart the SageTV server before using Phoenix to initialize the views, etc. Is that restart something you can build into the plugin's XML, similar to what other plugins do when the require a restart? Just a minor UE thing.
When choosing the 308 STV XML, I get the Phoenix home screen, everything looks fine but the screen space area at the top just stays at "Updating..." vs. showing me how much space I have. After navigating around to various menus, it still shows as "Updating..."
I am a heavy user of the SageTV client via a mouse, and thus want to make sure I don't lose any mouse-related functionality. Here is what I seem to have "lost":

Phoenix does nothing when left clicking while playing anything. Left clicking should show the timeline and info of what's playing.
When the timeline appears, would be nice to have clickable playback control buttons (e.g. play, pause, fast forward), in addition to making the timeline clickable
When playing a video, if I press Home then Home to get back to the home screen, I would like to be able to click the playing video to get it back in fullscreen mode. Same story when a video is playing and I invoke the program guide. Would like to be able to click the currently playing video from where it is "minimized" to be able to get back to fullscreen.
When the main menu is in its default hortizontal mode, I can't use the mouse to navigate left and right. I can use it to navigate up and down though within sub menus.

What is the default sorting for movie and TV menus? Seems random to me. I would have expected when I invoke the movie menus that they are sorted alphabetically by title by default.

That's all for now... if I come up with more I'll certainly add more posts to this thread.

I think here is fine. once we go public, people can post bugs in the issue tracker (but i suspect they won't based on my experience with sagex-apis and bmt :) )

I'll the STV related stuff to Mike and Brian :)

Sorting, etc, is all handled by the vfs views. I'll try to post a quick VFS editing guide today so that you guys can begin customizing the list of you views you want, and how you want the shown. The VFS is much more complex than the menus, so might take a bit of time to get in all the details, but I'll try to get something out today.

The 'Movies' view is currently unsorted. It will be by alpha in the next build.

The TV and Archived TV default to the recent activity sort, which puts the folder with the most recent recordings at the top.

Mouse support is very minimal currently. It will get better, we've been focused on making it work with a remote initially.
