Here's something I've encountered with shows that use "Episode 1" etc. rather than titles. When displaying the episode images, the same image is used for "S01E01 Episode 1" and "S02E01 Episode 1". See attached examples. I have encountered this with more than one show (many UK shows use this format).

Any ideas?

We just use whatever bmt scrapes if there isnt a episode fanart we use the background fanart.

Sorry, I'm obviously not being clear enough.

BMT does scrape unique episode art for the episodes. Diamond isn't displaying the episode art correctly. Background art doesn't enter into it.

BMT scrapes "Art A" to "Season 1/Episodes/0001.jpg"
BMT scrapes "Art E" to "Season 2/Episodes/0001.jpg"

Diamond displays "Art A" for "S1E01 Episode 1"
Diamond displays "Art A" for "S2E01 Episode 1" (instead of "Art E")

I can't help but wonder if this is somehow related to the respective titles both being "Episode 1". If the Titles where "Joe's Shoe" and "Fred's Shirt" the art would display correctly.

I believe this is a BMT issue, I noticed this on a few of my episodes as well.

Well, wherever the problem originates, it's more extensive than I originally thought. The propagation of incorrect episode art is not limited to within a series. Any identical title is subject to this issue. So, the common title "Pilot" shows the same art for every instance.

The episodes "Pilot" for "$#@! My Dad Says", "Blue Bloods", "The Chicago Code", etc. all show art from
"/$#! My Dad Says/Season 1/Episodes/0001.jpg", the first intance of an episode named "Pilot" in the fanart database.

I don't see how it could be diamond but ti could be. We cache by showtitle/episodename but we only cache whatever Phoenix returns. Try asking in the BMt section.

Well, this is the last time I'm bugging you about this. Life's too short, moving on, winning!

It appears to be a problem with the cache. The image that is being propagated to all like-named episodes is the first image displyed for the title. To clarify:

I cleared the cache, then went to S1E01 for "The Chicago Code".

The correct art loaded.

I then went to S1E01 for "$#! My Dad Says" and the art for "The Chicago Code" loaded. :bang:

All other art -- Banners, Posters, Backgrounds -- loads correctly.

Did anyone experience this problem when using episode art prior to Diamond?

Heh on second thought this was something i changed today in the caching code this should be all good in the next build ;) I didn't change it because of this issue but after thinking about it I can see why it was doing this ;)

Well, good news/bad news with the new build.

The problem of episode art being duplicated from series to series does appear to have been solved.

i.e. "Episode1 " and "Pilot" now display their own series episode art.

However, "Episode 1" within the series but for different seasons within the series is display the same episode art.

i.e "Being Human Season 1 'Episode 1'" and "Being Human Season 2 'Episode 1'" display the same episode art.

I can confirm that it is the first displayed image that is duplicated.

i.e If you view Season 2 Episode 1 first, then view Season 1 Episode 1, the Season 2 Episode 1 art will display for Season 1 Episode 1. If you view Season 1 Episode 1 first, then view Season 2 Episode 1, the Season 1 Episode 1 art will display for Season 2 Episode 1.

Still a caching issue?

Good gosh yup still a caching issue I never would have thought a show would have 2 episodes named the same within the same series please log it and I will fix it.

Actually, quite a few of the BBC shows are like this.
Being Human
Primeval
Ashes to Ashes

Already fixed for next go around just add season-episode numbers to the cached file so it won't duplicate now.
