Hey all coming up the pike is a the new diamond build 3.20. It requires sagetv beta version 7.1.5 currently. (hopefully new beta's won't break things down the road as we found some issues we had that was causing most of it.)
Lots of new changes, enhancements and bug fixes. To much to cover in one post check out the wiki for an overview.

What is the proper upgrade process? Should we uninstall Diamond, install 7.15, and then install the new Diamond build? Or can we simply install 7.1.5 over the old Diamond and then upgrade to the new Diamond after that?

Install 7.1.5 first and then you will be able to install Diamond 3.2, as it is dependant on Sagetv 7.1.5 or higher.
You could uninstall Diamond 3.1 if you like but you should be OK to upgrade it as well. Probably cleaner to uninstall but not necessary.

I went the the 3.1 uninstall, 7.1.5 update, 3.2 install route. All is fine. I don't know if it was unique to my setup (I think it might have been, as I think I disabled Diamond 3.1 before uninstalling), but upon 3.2 install, I had to enable the plug in before I could configure...even though the theme could be selected. Just FYI for any users that do the same...I was scratching my head for a bit :D
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!! Thanks guys!

Really love this update! I currently have my movies in folders for each category such as drama/bluray/action and so forth. I want to know what the most optimal way to view these in those categories on the diamond 360 view. Do I go into bmt web interface to change the category listings of each video or should I do this is my movies collection management which I have most of my videos in. I prefer to use the built in categories and direct them either to the individual folders.... Would rather not use the folder view option. Thanks for the great work!

The view is built off the categories in the metadata. So it really doesn't have anything to do with the folders they are stored in nor the manner in which the metadata is updated.
I don't use my movies so I cannot comment on that but I do use BMT and use that to make sure my categories are correct.
