I traced my network congestion and it shows me this protocol every second. How do I reduce this or remove this protocol from asking for updates. I think it is causing too much network traffic for my qam tv signal. I have 100% signal and it works fine on the server. I get green pixels on the tv and a lot of noise.
Thanks,
Scott

SDP is used in upnp.... so you'd have to turn off upnp discovery in your upnp devices.

How do you get the keep alive calls down so that it does not effect network traffic. I have my home theater on it's own switch so that I do not need to interfere with the rest of my local network.

If I'm reading right, you're saying you're seeing a (few) SDP packet once a second? I find it incredibly unlikely this is causing any issues on a 100Mbps or 1000Mbps network.
What's your network configuration and what have you done to narrow the issue down to the network, and not something like decoders?

I have my server, hd300,hd200,and my nas on a 100mps network. All connected through a switch. The switch is connected to the router, the router is connected to the cable modem. I used wireshark to monitor the ip address and saw all of the sdp calls. Could freeness be causing the calls? That is what am running on my nas server.
