View Full Version : Screens Changed Spontaneously?

Running Diamond.
Audio slider appeared where I think it should: at the bottom of the screen.
A few days ago, it started appearing in the upper right of the screen.
Some other details have changed too - but I can't enumerate them with nothing to compare to.
Haven't touched any setup screens, haven't edited the props file.
Don't want to just blindly uninstall/re-install until I have some clue.
Can anybody suggest what has happened?
How to get back to where it was?

Can you post a screen shot? Kind of sounds like the theme is loaded but the Diamond Stvi isn't. Does it look like the attached?
I would check in the installed plugins that Diamond is enabled.
Or maybe you have another plugin loaded that also changes the OSD, not all plugins will work with Diamond.

Here's a video clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnAS5d7jP5s
The "Theme is loaded but the Diamond Stvi isn't..." part rings true bc I am unable to find any of the "Diamond Options" dialogs.
However Setup | SAGETV PLUGINS | INSTALLED PLUGINS | UI Mod shows "Diamond for Default Sagetv7 STV" as "Enabled".

If I disable the Diamond STVi I get the same result as your video. That is the default volume location so the Diamond STVi is not loaded.
Try a server restart (if on an extender) or uninstall the Diamond STVi and then reinstall it on a client if a restart doesn't load it. Something is out of sync.

Uninstalled, killed Sage + Service, restarted, confirmed not there, re-installed... lost my custom backgrounds, got backgrounds that look like they're probably Diamond (i.e. not the standard ones), but the volume control is still in the upper right of the screen.

What other plugins do you have installed?

If this is on a HD200/HD300 you may have a messed up properties file and might need to start from scratch or copy/rename a good one from another good working extender (if this isn't happening on them all...).
I would delete the offending properties file for the offending extender from the following directory,
C:\Program Files (x86)\SageTV\SageTV\clients
A new one will be created after you start up the Sagetv service and start up the extender.
Sorry if this doesn't fix it for you, running out of ideas.

If this is on a HD200/HD300...
It was across the board: SageTV, HD200, Client, PlaceShifter.
I re-installed Diamond, no change.
I'm gonna drop it for now. It's not like the location of the volume slider is such a big deal per-se, it was more a matter of "What's going on here?".
BTW, a side benefit of the re-install of Diamond: navigation of the movie folders list is *much* faster now - as in by a factor of at least 10. Both scrolling and positioning by letter are, for all practical purposes, instantaneous.
