As of Monday, May 19th, the SageTV Service no longer requires a subscription fee. This affects all current and future customers.

If you are a current monthly subscriber, please cancel your subscription via PayPal and your Access Code will remain active. If you purchased the annual subscription, please contact us at info@freytechnologies.com for refund options.

Now you will be able to take advantage of all the great features of SageTV for only $59.95 with no additional fees. Also, keep an eye out for the release of the SageTV Client version due out by the end of May.

The SageTV Client will introduce the ultimate Networked Media Center and PVR experience for less than $100! With the SageTV Client, you'll have access to the SageTV EPG, Favorites Manager, Search and streaming live and recorded video from any PC across your network. More information is available on our updated website at www.sage.tv.

Thanks and Enjoy!

That's great! :jump:

BUT ... That makes me think, "Forget getting the service to reach Provo, Utah" ... :bang:

No real incentive for Frey, or am I wrong?

While I have your attention reading this... I want to purchase 2 250's (with the new remote) and the SageTV software.... Only option is for one 250 or the 3 250's in a complete unit.. I trust you guys over the lame happenings at COMPUSA.. send me a PM, or e-mail.

Thanks,
Troy

Troy,

Our process for the SageTV service was two-fold. We first launched what Zap2it defines as the "Top 25 markets" by viewing population. Our next step was to support the entire US and that will occur no later than this fall.

Dan,

I appreciate knowing that. Sage-All-The-Way! :)

Just curious - seems like there are two reasons you could have done this... (1) Number of subscribers exceeds expectations and allowed you to cut a great deal with the EPG provider... (2) Number of subscribers isn't meeting expectations and this is a desperate effort to drum up more business.

I sincerely hope it's the former. (I also hope you'll be honest either way. :))

Elvis, (nice to see you in here after the interaction we've had in the AVS forum in the past)

We have expanded our business model into other areas that has allowed us to drop the subscription fee and keep the price of SageTV low for consumers. Nothing I can elaborate on now, but we'll try to keep everyone posted in the near future as things expand...
