Weather looks good and comes up alright ... but I just noticed 2 things;
1 - Current Temp Shows 97 degrees and it's 12:30am ?? It's hot where I live, but not that hot after midnight? I suspect it's not getting updated when I launch Weather.
2 - I noticed all day today that under "Tonight" the High never shows a temp, but the Low does?? High and Low shows on all other days ...
Are these known issues? Any work around ... ?

1) look at your location in www.weatherroom.com or www.weather.com (depending on which data source you are using). If the data source is wrong, there is nothing the display can do!
2) both weather sources have a system that show highest temp during the day and lowest temp during the night. Therefore there is only a low temp for tonight. In addition, weatherrom.com will not give you the high temp if is has already passed the peak and is decreasing.
(#2 has been repeatedly asked and answered!)

1) My system says that it is getting the data from "weatherroom.com" when loading and after loaded. Is that where I should be looking for the data source location? The question would be how often do they update the feed and is it not getting updated because of SageTV/MlbDude2 or Weatherroom.com. I understand that they provide the feed, but is the feed initiated by them or our plug-in?
2) Hmm ... It's misleading because "Tonight" has a placeholder for High. You would expect it to be remove it if was not going to be populated. At least that would eliminate the repeating question.
Thanks ... T.
I gave up using weatherroom and changed to weather.com. Things were hardly ever getting updated with weatherroom. I took a look once directly on their web site and it said the data was expired and over a week old.
You're probibly experiencing the same thing. Take a look at their web site to verify.

So how do you change from weatheroom.com to weather.com? I assume I just edit the URL in the Sage Properties file? Right?
I'm not using the .NET version, I'm using the JAVA weather set up. You can find all the details of how to set that up in the JAVA weather thread, but yes, basically it just requires changing a couple lines in the properties.
Not know just how yours is set up, I'd say just try changing the line from weatherroom.com to weather.com and see if it works for you. If not, read thru the JAVA weather thread for more details.

Yep ... It appears that if you edit the properties file to reflect weather.com it will tkae it's data feed. We'll see if it reports temps in the 90's tonight!
Thanks, T.

mlbdude/weather_provider=www.weatherroom.com
This property is for display purpose only for licensing purposes.
mlbdude/weather_url=http\://www.weatherroom.com/xml/ext/
This property is for the URL the GetWeather program will use to extract the weather.
If you download and use the weather.com weather extractor from
http://forums.sage.tv/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6249
and configure as the author suggests, you may have better luck with weather data in your area.

So, are you saying that merely updating the URL in the properties file from "weatherroom.com" to "weather.com" will not change the data feed and that what I am still looking at is weatherroom data??
It's sounding like you're saying I have torun the "weather.com extractor"
Thanks ... T.

Correct on both items. If weatherroom is giving bogus data for your area, you will want to try the weather.com version. The different extractor is needed since the data format returned is different.
